It turns out that Annchen can finish my sentences. She can even answer questions that I haven’t even asked yet! We’ve enjoyed biking to Bible Study (Breakaway Ministries), biking to The REC, biking to class, biking to running races, biking to go eating,… Best running/biking/eating buddy, ever.

The Wedding Party

Annchen Knodt

Maid of Honor

Kaelin Tooley

Bridesmaid

The Responsible One. She’s fun, but she definitely keeps the rest of us in line. The best college friend and roommate anyone could ask for! Probably also the most active member of The Breakfast Gang.

“Hi, my name is Karen. I mean, Kaelin!”

Julie Johnson

Bridesmaid

I’m not sure that I know anyone more unpredictable than Julie! Oh how I miss the days of bumming around at the townhouse at Texas A&M – baking instead of studying… doing anything besides studying, really. However, I don’t think I know anyone more brilliant than Julie either.

Becky Noll

Bridesmaid

Partner in ministry AND partner in crime, in Western Alaska. Just as an aside, her favorite outhouse happens to be where we were “chased” by a porcupine several miles away from camp. Needless to say, we’ve enjoyed many adventures together, including times when she helped me avoid an unnamed admirer also known as Josh.

Zachary, Zoe, and Zuriel Ngu

Ring Bearers and Flower Girl

Zachary has been my buddy since he was 2 years old. We’ve been through Sunday School, AWANA, and VBS together. He is now 10 but is still my best bud. Zoe is his sweet younger sister. Zuriel is the newest of the 3 Z’s.

Jason Fedelem

Best Man

In case you aren’t sure Jason is my older brother. He and I spent all of our lives together until I was 19. In him I have found not only a friend and companion, but someone who cares for and protects me. It has been a little longer than four years since I stood beside Him as He promised his life to his wife Rosetta. It is truly an honor to have him standing beside me as I do the same with Karen.

Isaac Millard

Groomsmen

I can’t think of a better word to describe Isaac than “sincere.” His friendship has been a steadfast source of encouragement to be sincere in my walk with God. We originally met during disaster preparedness training at the ALERT Academy.  Since then we have been in Alaska together 3 times. We have had many fond memories such as surviving the Alaska wilderness together. During one of these excursions, it was Isaac who pointed out that there was a grizzly bear standing behind me, and there have been numerous other times when he has had my back.

Cliff Patrick

Groomsmen

I first remember Cliff as the one who won a rappelling competition in Boot Camp. Since then we roomed together for almost 2 of the 2 and a half years I was at the ALERT Academy. Many memories have been shared and made. Cliff has always been a solid friend who motivates me to endure by his example.

Sam Behr

Groomsmen

Sam I have to say should receive a medal for all that he has endured in our friendship. At ALERT he was a wing leader of the dorm I was in and I definitely kept him on his toes. Thankfully he has forgiven the grey hairs he now has from those days and is always around to hang out or talk when the opportunity presents itself.
